The Easter weekend is finally here, which leaves us hoping for sunshine and warm weather. Let's face it, nothing says relaxation quite like sitting outdoors basking in the sun.
Of course, you don't want to take the risk of getting burned when you are dining or enjoying drinks al fresco style. That's why investing in a good quality parasol can come in handy, and we know just the one to bag.
It's George at Asda's highly coveted Riviera Stripe Parasol which is officially back for summer 2025. This stylish garden item is said to have been so popular when it first launched in 2024 that it "sold out in nine weeks" - so you might want to get it while you can.

Costing a humble £59, the supermarket's summer garden staple is said to "bring a slice of the Riviera into any garden" thanks to its trendy striped canopy and intricate tassel edging that offers a "boho touch" to the design.
It's not just a stylish addition to your garden, as the FSC-certified wood pole has a lean function that allows you to tilt the canopy whenever you feel the position sun shift. Meanwhile, the polycotton canopy is said to be "weatherproof", making it suitable for unpredictable UK summers.

Since the Riviera Stripe Parasol sold out within just over two months last year, it's expected that it will be popular once again this year. It's also no surprise to hear that it has managed to amass glowing five-star reviews on the George at Asda website.
One delighted customer wrote: "I'm blown away by how amazing this product is. I've been wanting to get a patterned parasol with a boho touch for a while, but unwilling to spend the £150+ that they normally are. I thought I'd give this one a go, but didn’t expect much for the price.
"It is exactly what I wanted. Furthermore it also tips and has a lovely case. It is stylish, good, waterproof fabric and looks like something you would get from a much fancier, 'bespoke' store. I could not recommend it more."
A second shopper agreed: "I am so pleased, great colour and fabric which feels like heavy canvas but with a weatherproof feeling to it, the fringe is also heavy duty it is a dupe of some parasols that cost up to £300.
"I recommend you get a heavy base 25-30kg as I wouldn’t want it to catch the wind and blow over with a light weight base… it has a lovely storage same fabric case with canvas handles. It has a mechanism to tilt it if required, bring on the summer."
Someone else added: "So much better in real life, love the trending stripes and fringing, really easy to put up, lightweight and does the job perfectly, MUCH cheaper than some other parasols on the market."
And another Asda shopper wrote: "Absolutely stunning. Just what I wanted to brighten my garden."
One shopper was a little less than enthusiastic about the quality of the design, leaving a three-star review that read: "Not sure how structurally strong it is."
The Riviera Stripe Parasol can be bought online at George at Asda for £59 here.
With summer on the horizon, many of us might be planning days out in the garden. To keep protected, Dunelm's £79 2.7m Macrame Parasol will also provide your outdoor area with a similar boho-style touch thanks to its tasselled edges.
However, for those not keen on the design, and maybe looking for something a bit simpler, there is this 3m garden parasol, that also offers a tilt function, on Amazon for just £54.99.
